Travel

"To travel hopefully is better than to arrive" has been one of my mottos, applying to work, love and learning as much as leisure. Although I've lived in London my entire life I'm never happier than when cast adrift in a strange city or visiting some impossibly beautiful corner of the globe.

I got bitten by the travel bug relatively late, I didn't do a gap year or anything. But my AIDS work has taken me so far to every continent except Australia so far.

So this is the travelogue page. Enjoy, and hopefully be inspired.

Kilimanjaro One of the world's iconic places, like the Taj Mahal or Macchu Picchu, it was also a mountain I told myself I would climb if I recovered from AIDS back in the mid-90s. So when my friends Mark and Roger said they wanted to climb it,. I has to go too. Click for the photo diary!

Laos A travelogue I wrote for QX Magazine about visiting Luang Prabang, the old royal capital of Laos.
